Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of Boiler Wizard (“the app”). By creating an account you agree to them. If you use the app for a company, you confirm you may accept these terms on its behalf.

1. Who can use it

The app is for gas engineers and heating businesses. Access to tools may be held until your Gas Safe registration has been checked. We may refuse or suspend access where registration cannot be confirmed or these terms are broken.

2. The engineer stays responsible

Boiler Wizard is a reference and paperwork aid. It does not inspect appliances, and it does not certify anything.

• All safety decisions, readings, test results, verdicts and signed records are made by the engineer on site, who remains responsible for them under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 and their Gas Safe registration.
• Fault suggestions, AI answers, photo inspections, calculators, clearances and reference summaries can be incomplete or wrong. Always check them against the manufacturer's instructions, the Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedure, British Standards and Building Regulations before acting.
• Do not rely solely on the app to decide whether an appliance or installation is safe.

3. Records and certificates

You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you enter, including customer and property details. Issued records are locked; company owners can void them with a reason, and the original stays in the audit history. You should keep your own copies of anything you are legally required to keep.

4. Trial and subscriptions

• New accounts get a 14-day free trial with full access. No card is needed.
• After the trial, tools are locked unless you subscribe. Your saved records stay viewable.
• Subscriptions renew monthly or yearly until cancelled. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Upgrades start straight away with a pro-rated charge. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal.
• Company plans include two engineer seats; the owner can buy more.
• Payments are handled by our payment provider. Prices are shown on the home page and in Plan & billing.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the app: no sharing accounts, no entering false readings or records, no uploading content you don't have the right to share, and no attempts to break or copy the software. Member posts (jokes, quotes, photos) must not identify customers or include offensive content; we may remove them.

6. Our liability

The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from decisions made on site, from reliance on suggestions in the app, or for indirect or business losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

7. Changes and ending

We may update the app and these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app. You can stop using the app and cancel at any time.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
